Francis O'Riley

18 years structural engineering design and construction supervision experience on building, infrastructure and temporary works projects

Francis is a Chartered Structural Engineer with 18 years experience in the construction industry. He has worked for a number of engineering consultancies in Design, Supervision and Asset Management roles before starting his own practice in 2006. He has experience in all aspects of structural, seismic and temporary works design, successfully carrying out projects for large infrastructure clients including Transpower, Telecom & NZTA.

He successfully ran a small structural design practice for 9 years, completing over 500 projects ranging from residential buildings to seismic strengthening of low rise commercial buildings. In this time he has employed engineers, drafting and administration staff and has managed a wide range of projects from concept design through to construction.

Francis has recently joined the GK Shaw management team as Company Engineer.
